Practical workshop | “Implementing experiments with E-Prime 3.0”

E-Prime 3.0 offers an intuitive interface for behavioral studies that allows researcher to collect data onsite or online with a variety of stimulus types. The objective of the present workshop is to introduce participants to the main features of the software and to provide them the fundamental skills to implement an automated experiment. Through a series of activities, participants will learn the main tools offered by the software and will be invited to design and create their own simple experiment. More than just learning how to use E-Prime 3.0, this workshop is planned in such a way that it offers the basic and operational abilities to implement an experiment that could be easily transferred to any kind of behavioral research software.  

Seminar - Workshop | "Cómo realizar e interpretar un meta-análisis"

El meta-análisis es una técnica que nos permite sintetizar información, es decir, tras hacer una selección exhaustiva de todos los estudios empíricos que han abordado una misma pregunta de investigación, se aplican métodos estadísticos para integrar los diversos resultados encontrados. Por tanto, es una herramienta imprescindible en la toma de decisiones educativas fundamentadas en la práctica basada en la evidencia (PBE), esto es, en aplicar los resultados de la investigación a la praxis, mejorando así su eficacia y efectividad. Sin embargo, la realización de un metaanálisis de calidad no es una tarea sencilla, como también puede no serlo su interpretación. El objetivo de este curso es aprender a hacer una lectura crítica de estudios meta-analíticos y sentar las bases para la realización de este tipo de trabajos.
